What is Hydro Protocol ($HDRO)

Hydro Protocol is the ultimate infrastructure platform for yield and liquidity strategies on the Injective Network.

Hydro combines the Liquid Staking Derivatives (LSD) products and Real World Assets (RWA) to offer a specialized LSDFi product suite.

More importantly, Hydro Protocol introduces a unique specialized product called Real Yielding Asset (RYA) to bring LSDFi to a new level of yield optimized strategies.

The Hydro RYA is a Hydro-original indexed source of different yields across the crypto universe.

Hydro Protocol launched on 31 January 2024, with over $150MLN in TVL, over 1.6MLN INJ staked and over 13,000 unique users.

Liquid Staking : Liquid Staking Derivatives (LSD) will be the primary product of Hydro Protocol where users can deposit their INJ tokens in exchange for hINJ tokens to start earning staking rewards.

Farming : The Farming feature is a yield optimization product for users to stake their hINJ LSTs and take advantage of superior yield. For a limited time, Hydro is offering an exclusive 4-week farm from Mainnet Launch to TGE. The total Farming period is 12 months, including the EAF period.

Auto-Compounding : The Auto-Compounding feature allows users to “set it and forget it” and take advantage of maximizing their staking yields and amplify their rewards with INJ assets.

Real Yield Assets : Real Yield Assets (RYA) is a novel concept created by Hydro Protocol to help users maximize their yield strategies across the crypto market. Simply put, RYA is a core financial product in the LSDFi Ecosystem that gives users access to multiple yields in one basket.

(Q2 2024) Real Yield Asset (RYA)s - Hydro will introduce a unique specialized product called Real Yielding Asset (RYA) to bring LSDFi to a new level of yield optimized strategies. The Hydro RYA is a Hydro-original indexed source of different yields across the crypto universe. This will be the core of LSDFi on Injective. The RYA is similar to an ETF with different components of diverse yields and weightings. The first RYA is set to come out in Spring 2024

3rd Party Utility - Hydro Protocol will continue to work with other projects within Injective and cross chain to bring further utility on the hINJ and HDRO tokens. Many of these partnerships are already confirmed and waiting technical dev for announcement

Liquidity Strategy - Hydro will continue to use up to 70% of monthly revenue for provide deep liquidity and price stabilization across all liquidity sources

How is Hydro Protocol Acquiring Users?

Hydro Protocol is actively holding user campaigns to incentivize users to join Hydro Protocol. With user campaigns such as the airdrop campaigns from Galxe testnets (over 50,000) users, wallet integrations with other partners like OKX and Early Access Farming.

By successfully holding the campaigns, Hydro Protocol has already acquired at least 13K users on Mainnet.

What is the $HDRO Token?

The HDRO token is the primary utility and governance token of Hydro Protocol.

The HDRO value is maintained by fees generated by the three features. Using these revenue figures, Hydro Protocol:

- Uses up to 70% to maintain the value of HDRO sustainably on the open market
- Uses up to 30% to reward HDRO stakers

This inherent value capture mechanism will continue to help HDRO accrue in value, and therefore add additional demand for the HDRO token. The 30% revenue share to HDRO stakers also incentivizes users to stake their HDRO for more share of the revenue. This helps the HDRO remain deflationary.

Other Utility of HDRO Tokens:
Other utility of HDRO token include the active participation in HDRO Wars. HDRO holders can participate in voting for component changes (rebalancing) of different assets and yield measures with their HDRO tokens. Naturally, any projects who wish their assets to be considered as part of the RYA can also use HDRO to vote on the asset admission voting process.

What are Hydro Protocol ($HDRO) Revenue Streams?

Hydro Protocol collects the fee for the three features: LSD, Auto Compounding and Farming. This is the primary source of revenue.

There will be a 10% annualized performance fee on the Hydro's core features.
